Work Detail Oil and gas companies BW Energy and Neptune have exercised their options to keep Borr Drilling’s jackup rigs working offshore Gabon and the Netherlands, respectfully. The 2011-built premium rig Norve, which has operated for BW Energy in Gabon since December 2022, has secured additional work stretching until June 2024. The move follows an extension in August, that firmed up the rig until January 2024. Meanwhile, the 2013-built jackup Prospector 1 has been fixed to Neptune for work on the Dutch continental shelf until January 2024, after the previous extension in August. Neptune has further options to secure the rig through the first half of 2024. Borr’s current delivered fleet consists of 22 jackup rigs, with two more under construction at Seatrium, formerly Keppel. The company’s backlog as of November stood at nearly $1.9bn.
