Argentina: Comodoro Rivadavia Port announces tender for dredging works
The Comodoro Rivadavia Port, headed by administrator Favio Cambareri, announced that it will call for tender for dredging works after completing the expansion of the port area.
The dredging work will have a budget of 3 million dollars, financed with funds from the Port Administration and are expected to last 60 days.
According to GlobaPorts, the dredging will be carried out at the foot of the Ultramar dock and in the port area, with the extracted material being transported by specialized vessels and unloaded at sea, 6 kilometers from the port breakwater, in open waters. of the San Jorge Gulf.
Likewise, it is estimated that approximately 255 thousand cubic meters of sediment will be dredged, five times more than what was considered in previous projects.
With these works, the Port Administration seeks to ensure a safe depth that allows the entry of medium and large vessels regardless of the tide level, which will contribute to the ports trade.
