Shandong Electric Power Construction (SEPCO), China announced in a statement that, it has signed EPC Contract for Jafurah seawater desalination and water supply pipeline project located in Eastern province of Saudi Arabia.
The agreement was signed with the Consortium of Lamar Holding and Mowah on the sidelines of the third “Belt and Road” International Cooperation Summit Forum.
The main scope of work includes a seawater desalination plant with a daily water production capacity of 80,000 cubic meters and the EPC work of about 200 kilometers of water transmission pipelines.
After completion, the project will be responsible for providing desalination water for Saudi Arabia’s Jafurah gas field development facilities. |
