| Work Detail | The New York State Department of Transportation has issued travel advisories for area counties for the week of Sept. 5. HERKIMER COUNTY City of Little Falls: State Route 5 between Bidleman Road and River Road. Motorists will encounter a reduced speed limit to 45 miles per hour along with flaggers and lane shift due to road construction. Town of Russia: Route 8/28 over West Canada Creek bridge replacement between Cold Brook Street and Kaufman Road. Motorists will encounter a long-term temporary signal controlling one-way alternating traffic. Town of Stark: Route 168 bridge over Ohisa Creek. Motorists will encounter a road closure with a detour in place for bridge work. The detour will be Route 168 to Route 167 to County Route 18 to Route 80 to Route 168 and reverse. Village of Middleville and town of Salisbury: Route 29 between Middleville and Salisbury. Motorists will encounter lane closures with flaggers present for guiderail replacement and shoulder work. MONTGOMERY COUNTY Town of Florida: Route 30 between County Route 159 and Belldons Road. Motorists will encounter northbound and southbound lane closures controlled by flaggers due to miscellaneous roadwork. FULTON COUNTY Village of Mayfield: Route 30 between Route 29 and Route 349. Motorists will encounter northbound and southbound closures with flaggers in place due to road work. Hamlet of Sammonsville: Route 334 over Cayadutta Creek between the intersection of County Route 116 and County Route 30. Motorists will encounter one-way alternating traffic controlled by a temporary signal due to bridge work. ONEIDA COUNTY Utica North-South Arterial Project: • Route 12 northbound, between Court Street and the Route 5A/5S bridge, continues to remain reduced to one lane. • Lafayette Street, between Fay Street and State Street. Intermittent road closures will be encountered as needed during bridge construction operations. City of Rome: Route 26 between James Street and Lamphere Road. Motorists will encounter a northbound lane closure due to ditch cleaning on Sept. 7 and Sept. 8. City of Rome: Route 365 between Route 26 and Greenway Road. Motorists will encounter a westbound lane closure due to ditch cleaning on Sept. 8 and Sept. 9. City of Utica: The Route 5S westbound lane is closed between Broad Street and Culver Avenue due to ditching and draining installation. Lane and shoulder closure and a speed limit reduction to 45 mph. Town of Camden: Route 69 over the west branch of Fish Creek. Motorists will encounter a road closure with a detour in place. The detour will be Main Street, Preston Hill Road, Leigh Street and reverse. A temporary signal will be in place at Main Street and Preston Hill Road. Town of Forestport: Dustin Road over Kayuta Lake between Beechwood Lane and McKoon Road. Motorists will encounter road closure with a detour in place. The detour will be north bound on Route 12 at Dustin Road: Route 28 off ramp and go north on Route 28 and take right on to Woodhull Road, go to Dustin Road. Southbound on Route 12: take off ramp to Route 28 North, to Woodhull Road. Southbound on Route 12: take Route 28 north bound ramp to Woodhull Road and follow detour signs. |
