Work Detail The company Sullair Argentina SA submitted a bid for a 101 MW power generation plant in the city of General Pico. It did so within the framework of the tender called by the Ministry of Energy of the Nation through Resolution 2023-621-APN-SE-MEC. “We have our own equipment for energy generation, using diesel generators, natural gas generators and dual turbines, according to the needs of each project,” can be read on the companys institutional website. The reception of offers took place on Tuesday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The reception took place at the NH Collection Hotel, on 120 Bolívar Street, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, with the presence of bidders and authorities from the Ministry of Energy. In total, 20 bidders were presented with 66 projects for a total of 7,112 MW for a target of 3,070 MW. For the province of La Pampa, only one project was put out to tender where the only bidder was Sullair Argentina SA. The objective of the tender, which covered twelve provinces and the Federal Capital, is to ensure the long-term supply of electrical energy, encourage the supply and efficient use of said energy by establishing appropriate tariff methodologies to guarantee the electrical supply in safe conditions to the minimum possible cost for the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI) and for end users in particular. In the resolution that called for the tender, the National Energy Secretariat explained that “the reliability demonstrated by the conventional thermal generation park, due to its age and technological characteristics, is not sufficient to achieve the objective” of ensuring the supply to long term. The tender focused on two areas: the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) and the Wholesale Electricity Market of the Tierra del Fuego System. In both cases, the aim is to reduce the operating costs of both markets and improve the supply reliability of the SADI. The contracts will not have responsibility for fuel management, and must commit to a specific consumption and the possibility of consuming fuels that guarantee its operation throughout the year. Additionally, the contracts establish remuneration based on the energy generated by type of fuel.
