The work is part of the program for the operation of the ComiLu Intelligent System for Monitoring, Prevention and Analysis of Hydrometeorological Risks, which will benefit the entire population of the Basin.
The Executive General Director of the Luján River Basin Committee (ComiLu), dependent on the Undersecretariat of Water Resources of the province of Buenos Aires, Germán Ciucci, participated in the tender carried out in the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services, for the creation of the “ComiLu Interpretation and Monitoring Center (CIM)”, a work that has an official budget of $289,454,235.00.
The tendered project was initiated from the need for the program required by ComiLu to create a space where the Intelligent System for Monitoring, Prevention and Analysis of Hydrometeorological Risks (SIMPARH) will operate, to be built in the City of Luján, as the basis of the alerts, incorporating operational offices into the building in a place designed in a sustainable and sustainable manner. This place will collaborate in raising awareness about the environmental heritage value of the water courses of the Basin, incorporating social activities into the technical program by providing meeting places linked to the study, monitoring and care of the river.
In this regard, the Undersecretary of Water Resources, Guillermo Jelinski, expressed: “A work that is going to be located in the city of Luján, the geographical center of the Basin, where different types of activities will be able to be carried out because it has a laboratory, SUM and ComiLu Monitoring Center”.
For his part, the Executive Director of ComiLu said: "This Interpretation Center will benefit the entire Basin, because an early warning system will be installed there to constantly evaluate the behavior of the river." |
