Carrier, an American provider of heating solutions, has introduced a new line of high-temperature heat pumps with capacities ranging from 30 kW to 735 kW, with hydrofluoroolefins as refrigerant.
Carrier has launched a new series of high temperature heat pumps for applications in industrial sites, commercial environments, public buildings and district heating systems.
It has developed four new products with capacities ranging from 30 kW to 375 kW, all of which use hydrofluoroolefins as a refrigerant.
“In addition to harnessing heat from ambient air and ground, heat pumps capture waste heat from a wide range of sources, such as data centers, leisure facilities, hotels and restaurants, process water, flue gases and systems. sewer system,” explains the manufacturer. “The heat collected can be used for comfort heating and domestic hot water production in large buildings and facilities.”
One of the products, the 410 kW AquaForce 61CA air-thermal heat pump, can reach a temperature of up to 82ºC. According to the manufacturer, it is a suitable solution for large buildings, as well as for local and district heating networks.
The AquaForce 61CW-Z heat pump, for its part, offers powers between 410 kW and 735 kW. It can reach a temperature of up to 92 ºC. The new solution is recommended for district heating networks and industrial process heating systems.
The third product, the AquaForce 61CWD heat pump, has a power of 110 kW to 540 kW and can reach a temperature of up to 120ºC.
“Screw compressors specially designed for the highest temperatures in intensive continuous use,” says the company, noting that the product is also suitable for heating industrial processes.
The smallest product, the AquaSnap 61CG heat pump, is rated from 30 kW to 130 kW and can be cascaded up to 390 kW. It reaches a temperature of up to 82ºC and can be used for heat recovery in hotels, the food sector and the pharmaceutical industry, as well as for energy supply and data centres.
