Work Detail The EV charging arm of Tata Power, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL), has signed an MoU with Zoomcar, a firm that delves in car sharing. The partnership will give an impetus to the adoption of electric vehicles (EV) on the national level. The agreement was signed between the two firms in Mumbai in the presence of Ashish Khanna, CEO of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited; Virendra Goya I, Head of Business Development for EV Charging at Tata Power and Greg Mo ran, CEO and Co-Founder of Zoomcar. The collaboration has been forged with a view to push Tata Powers EZ Charge points on the Zoom car platform. The target will be both existing as well as potential EV owners along with the customer base of Zoom car. The partnership will offer insights into Tata Powers network of EZ Charge points across the nation and strive to simplify the process of EV charging process while also addressing the challenges that come with the use of EV infrastructure. This mutual partnership is poised to create a comprehensive ecosystem that fulfil Is the evolving needs of EV enthusiasts" Tata Power entails over 50,000 home EZ chargers, more than 4370 public and semi-public charging points, and 250 bus-charging stations across 350 cities, that also encompasses major highways. The firm also eyes the goal of setting up 25,000 additional charging points in the span of the next five years. Earlier, Tata Power unveiled the EZ CHARGE card, an advanced RFID (Radio-frequency identification) card for EV charging.
