Enel Green Power Chile has announced the start of construction of the Don Humberto park project, in a hybrid format, with 80 MW photovoltaic and 67 MW of battery storage (BESS). Located in the northern area of ??the Chilean Metropolitan region, Enel Green Power Chile (EGP Chile) has started work on the Don Humberto park, which will combine a net installed capacity of 80 MW of solar power and a BESS energy storage system ( Battery Energy Storage System) of 67 MW. In a statement, EGP Chile affirms that it is estimated that, from the installation of 131,000 bifacial monocrystalline panels of 615 W each, the Don Humberto park will be able to generate 188 GWh annually, energy that will be injected into the National Electric System (SEN). . It is also reported that, during the construction peak, about 600 people will be employed. EGP Chile, a subsidiary of Enel Chile, claims a portfolio of 2,043 MW photovoltaic, 715 MW wind, 92 MW hydroelectric and 83 MW geothermal, a total net installed capacity of 2,933 MW. |
