The provincial government reported this Wednesday that the construction of a gutter cordon and speed bumps began in 40 blocks of Laguna Brava in the city of Corrientes.
As detailed, this work will include docks in the streets surrounding Plaza 6 de Mayo, located in the center of this populous neighborhood.
The works, included within the program of 200 blocks of ditch cordon that the Province faces for the capital city, are carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Services through its Executing Unit.
The works are carried out on two construction fronts. The first includes the streets: Lomas and Ministro Severo Fernández between Mocito Acuña and Padre Juan Lucchelli, as well as General Madariaga, Juan Serrano, Bernardino López and Padre Juan Lucchelli streets from 6 de Mayo to Armando Carmelo Romero, the latter bordering on the provincial route 5.

Likewise, these works include the construction of docks in streets that surround Plaza 6 de Mayo, the main public space in the sector and which was erected in honor of that date in 1843, when the battle of Laguna Brava was fought, where General Joaquín Madariaga He triumphed over the Rosas government forces.
The docks, which will serve for the descent and ascent of passengers from public transport units, without hindering the normal flow of circulation in that area, will be located on the blocks of Félix Moray, General Madariaga and 6 de Mayo, which surround Square.
These works, which consist of the adaptation of runoff levels, the rearrangement of service lines, relocation of power line poles and opening of boxes for a sand-cement base and subsequent concrete, are undertaken in order to improve surface rainfall runoff. , trafficability in the area, communication between different sectors and urban hygiene, thanks to the eradication of open-air ditches. |
