Dredging: Biss wants Justice to mediate between Sudelco and the Province
The mayor of the capital, Damián Biss, spoke with EL CHUBUT Digital about the stoppage of the dredging work in the Chubut river due to the controversial discharge of liquids on the coast of Playa Unión.
The municipal president indicated that he would make a presentation before the Justice to mediate between the company SUDELCO SA, which made a presentation that must be issued by the Court of Appeals to lift the precautionary measure that stopped the dredge work.
The amparo had been presented by the mayor himself, who is awaiting the report from a Buenos Aires laboratory on the toxicity or not of the liquids spilled attached to the north breakwater at the mouth of the river in Playa Unión.
The Chamber also required reports to the Ministry of the Environment and Infrastructure that they must submit regarding the controls.
Biss said that "we are going to request a conciliation hearing with the company and the Province." The mayor explained that this will be "before the judge" Amorina Testino that she had to intervene in the precautionary measure. |
