This Wednesday the Construction Workers Union of the Argentine Republic (Uocra) of the Río Negro section issued a statement rejecting the decision made by a company to dismiss ten employees. The workers were carrying out tasks in a road work on Route 151. From the union they regretted the situation and announced that they are going to carry out actions to continue the work.
As detailed by the union, the firm Luciano SA is in charge of the road work on Route 151 in the Cipolletti - May 25 section and they assured that "in an untimely manner and without any notice, they proceeded to dismiss more than ten colleagues, who they were affected in the work”. Last week, the union had already held a demonstration on the route for a claim against a state company.
In their statement, they described that the explanations made by the company in charge referred to "disagreements or disagreements with National Highway." From Uocra they regretted the suspension of the work, "having milled a national road, without having paved it, with the risk and inconvenience that this implies for road safety".
As reported, due to this context, the employees were fired and the work was suspended until further notice. And they commented that the companys responses were only through "WhatsApp audios" in which they confirmed the disagreements with the national leadership.
"In this way and as always, the thread is cut at the thinnest part, the only ones affected by this decision being the workers and their families," they criticized.

From the union they maintained that they are in a limit situation due to the social context. "The social situation is already at the limit and if a new paralyzed work is added to the Sectional added to others already suspended, we would enter a serious and irreversible situation," they stated.
And they assured that they will take measures to give continuity to the work, "we will arbitrate all administrative, legal and/or direct action means in order to give continuity to the aforementioned work."
