Work Detail The “RenMDI” Renewable Energy Generation Tender called by the Argentine government has awarded almost 100 projects for a total of 633.7 MW, of which 46 are photovoltaic, totaling 514.1 MW. The Ministry of Energy, which depends on the Ministry of Economy, has announced the award of 98 projects from renewable generation sources distributed in 19 provinces for a total of 633.7 MW. The Renewable Energy Generation Tender “RenMDI2” proposed to award new renewable capacity in the order of 620 MW from two large sectors or lines. The so-called Line 1, intended for projects of a regional and provincial nature with a so-called Maximum Required Power of 500 MW, awarded 46 undertakings for 514.1 MW. Thus, 44 solar parks for 501.1 MW, a wind farm for 10 MW and a biomass power plant for 3 MW were the winners. The projects to be built will be distributed throughout the provinces of Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Chaco, Córdoba, Corrientes, Formosa, La Pampa, La Rioja, Mendoza, Misiones, San Juan, Santa Fe and Santiago del Estero. In Line 2, small-scale projects with a Maximum Required Power of 120 MW, the award determined 52 projects assigned for 119.6 MW. By technology, there are 24 biogas plants for 29.9 MW, seven biomass plants for 39 MW, two urban solid waste plants for 13.2 MW and 19 small hydroelectric projects (PAH) for 37.5 MW. In this case, the projects include the provinces of Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Corrientes, Chubut, Entre Ríos, Jujuy, La Rioja, Mendoza, Misiones, Río Negro, Salta, San Juan, San Luis, Santa Fe and Santiago del Estero. The terms for commercial authorization are a period of three years (Rule 1) or four (Rule 2) from the date of signing.
