Work Detail The NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars has opened its Miller Electric Center, a 124,767 square foot training facility in Jacksonville, Florida. Recently, the team hosted a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate the project’s completion, with Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan in attendance. The center, estimated at $120 million, is a public/private partnership between Jaguars and the city of Jacksonville. With the Miller Electric Center complete, the Jaguars can now move their training and administrative operations out of TIAA Bank Field. The football team needs to relocate to its new training center, before renovations for the TIAA Bank Field can commence. According to Jaguars President Mark Lamping, the practice facility is the first step of the team’s goal to build a stadium of the future. The Miller Electric Center was built on an 18 acre property located northwest of TIAA Bank Field. Jaguars recently gave media and guests a tour of the facility to showcase its new state-of-the-art amenities. The training center includes a 96,113-square-foot indoor practice field and two outdoor fields built on 4.1 acres. Additionally, the facility provides a 23,563-square-foot fan amenity area, with a pro shop. Number of seats at the Miller Electric Center. Furthermore, the fields at the Miller Electric Center can accommodate 2,090 seats, which are fully shaded with nine overhead fans. The venue also features an overhead speaker system and two permanent concession stands. Additionally, players will have access to a 5,000-square-foot dining hall and a team meeting room, with auditorium theater seating. The property also offers a weight room, rehabilitation and recovery room and public art by local and nationally known artists. The Miller Electric Center was named after Miller Electric Co. who secured the naming rights with the Jaguars and city. The project’s construction manager was Haskell, while Rossetti, a Detroit-based architectural firm handled the designs. Miller Electric was responsible for the audiovisual and security installations, as well as the electrical wiring technology for the project. Additionally, the company installed the electric vehicle charging stations in the parking lot reserved for the players.
