The Ministry of Public Works of the Nation, through the National Highway, set for August 24 the tender for recovery and maintenance works for National Route 33, between Rosario and the access to San Eduardo. Over an extension of 179 kilometers, the improvements will include patching tasks, partial resurfacing, reconstruction of signalized crossings in various locations and the general conservation of the section for a period of two years. The project, prepared by technicians from the 7th Santa Fe District, has a reference amount of $7,232 million. Bids will be opened through the official website www.contratar.gob.ar.
Regarding the works included in the tender, the milling of road deformations, more patching at various points and the resurfacing of the intervened sections stand out. In these sectors, the shoulders will be reinforced and compacted. Likewise, the asphalt concrete roadway will be replaced by a concrete pavement at several signalized crossings of the urban crossings of RN 33. In this way, the deformations produced by the stop and start of heavy transport will be avoided. On the other hand, the road safety of the curve on the railroad tracks to the south of Pérez will be improved, with the extension of a culvert and the expansion and paving of external shoulders.
As for maintenance actions, the specification establishes grass cutting, weeding, and cleaning of canals and sewers. In addition, also for two years, metal railings and signage will be replaced, plus the reinforcement of the horizontal demarcation of the edge lines and axis of the road, especially of the resurfaced routes.
It is worth mentioning that this tender is part of another price check to contract works for National Route 33 in the Zavalla - Pujato section. In this case, the tender that was originally scheduled for April 24, was rescheduled for August 10 at the request of potential bidders to better adjust their quotes. In this case, the reference amount for the patching and resurfacing of 14 kilometers, including the RN 33 interchange with RN A012, amounts to $1,611 million.
Finally, it is highlighted that the works to be tendered for RN 33 are integrated into sections already recovered in recent works, such as the patching and resurfacing service carried out by Vialidad Nacional and that covered from National Route No. A012 to Chabás, with improvements in crossings. urban and rural routes.
