The Institute for the Planning and Promotion of Energy Solutions of Colombia (IPSE) has announced the installation of a microgrid with photovoltaic solar systems and storage batteries that will benefit more than a thousand users in the rural area of ??Uribia, in the department of La Guajira .
The Colombian Institute for the Planning and Promotion of Energy Solutions (IPSE) has announced the deployment of a microgrid with photovoltaic solar systems and high-efficiency storage batteries that will allow the energization of 1,323 users to be implemented in the rural area of ??Uribia, in the department of La Guajira.
Specifically, in the rural area of ??the municipality of Uribia, 113 of these energy solutions will be implemented. Of the 1,323 benefited users, 935 are families; It is also stated that power will be brought to 323 Early Childhood Community Care Units (UCA) and 64 ethno-educational institutions, distributed in 145 indigenous communities in the aforementioned department.
In a statement it is explained that it is the "first full-scale model of its technological platform for sustainable community energization", and for which a public tender is already underway.
Among the tasks carried out by the IPSE, mention should be made of the one carried out by the technical, social and engineering team of the institute, which "has worked in recent months in the recognition of the socio-territorial characteristics of the scattered communities of La Guajira, with in order to design a technological platform for energization contextualized to the territory”.
Thus, it is described that "the networks will be installed underground, to minimize the visual impact on the territory, while allowing greater sustainability over time by protecting them from the environmental conditions of the area."
It is added that this new technological platform "will have a modern monitoring system, which will allow to supervise the provision of the service remotely 24/7". |
