Last week the municipal mayor, Ezequiel Galli highlighted in a press conference the role of the Minister of Public Works of the Nation in a project that has been expected for years in Olavarría. "The only one who gave us a concrete answer was the minister (Gabriel) Katopodis." He thus referred to the financing for the construction of the northern sewer collector that was signed last year and this week the economic proposals for the first three stages will be opened.
From the Ministry of Maintenance and Public Works of the Municipal Government it was recalled that on June 7 and 9 the tenders for the first three stages of the construction of the northern sewer collector will be held.
The works to be carried out, which will require an investment of more than 430 million pesos, in the different stages include the laying of PVC pipes along Junín Street, Del Valle Avenue, Alberdi Avenue and de los Trabajadores Avenue. In addition, at the corner of Cerrito Street and Trabajadores Avenue, a pumping station must be built as part of these stages to pump the liquid over the Tapalqué stream at the height of the bridge beams to avoid the accumulation of obstructions in its channel.
"It is a work that we requested in 2020 from the Minister of Public Works Gabriel Katopodis and we were able to sign the agreement in November last year with Néstor Álvarez, the head of the National Entity for Water and Sanitation Works (ENOHSA)," explained Mayor Ezequiel in a timely manner. Galli.
“With the completion of this important work we will be able, in the future, to provide sewerage services to a significant number of residents of a sector of the city. As I have already said: these are works that are going to change the lives of 25,000 people,” added the community chief.
On the other hand, Galli highlighted "the joint work that the Municipal Public Works Secretariat has carried out in these years with the ENOHSA professionals to finally be able to carry out the tender."
In this sense, the Mayor expressed: "the articulation of the technical teams will benefit the people of Olavarri who pay their taxes and that money returns to the people of Olavarri in works that improve the quality of life."
