The provincial government will tender the expansion and restructuring of the hospitalization, maternity, neonatology and complementary areas of the Justo José de Urquiza hospital in Concepción del Uruguay. The official budget exceeds 460 million pesos.

“The work plan prioritized by Governor Gustavo Bordet is being carried out in a firm and sustained manner. With this work that is being tendered for the Urquiza de Concepción del Uruguay hospital, and that is added to the one that is underway, we continue to strengthen the public health system,” said the Minister of Planning, Infrastructure and Services, Marcelo Richard.
The minister commented that the work that is currently being carried out at the hospital, for the construction of a new Intensive Care Unit (UTI) and the bedrooms for the doctors on duty, "is 22 percent complete, with an investment of 138 million pesos", and added "with this new work that we are going to tender, around 2,580 square meters will be intervened in necessary improvements for the care and better functioning of the hospital."
The new work to be tendered, which includes the expansion and restructuring of a new pavilion for hospitalization, maternity, neonatology and complementary areas of the aforementioned hospital, has an official budget of 460,560,713.42 pesos, and will have a term of 300 calendar days. to run. The opening of envelopes will take place on July 6, 2023 at 11 a.m., in the institutions building, located at Calle Lorenzo Sartorio 2130 in Concepción del Uruguay.
Details of the work
The work covers a total area of ??2,583.58 square meters. The project contemplates the execution of a new pavilion in the current vehicle parking space. On the other hand, an intervention is proposed on the ground floor, where a space for parking cars and motorcycles will be maintained, and a common waste deposit and deposits, cisterns and evacuation ramps will be built.
For the first floor, on the same level as the existing hospitalization and intensive care sector, a connection with the new Maternity service is planned through circulation, which will have 24 hospitalization beds. Likewise, it will be connected to the new Neonatology area, with a capacity of 12 incubators and 6 pre-discharge cots.
On the second floor there will be three departments for resident doctors, with a basic capacity of 18 seats and a multipurpose room for training. A sector for the residence of mothers of babies hospitalized in Neonatology is also contemplated, which consists of an apartment with a kitchen, laundry room, dining room, terrace, bathroom and two bedrooms with a capacity of five beds.
All sectors will have their corresponding sanitary, electrical and gas installations, as well as oxygen for medical use, central air conditioning, heating and a monitoring room. Facilities for data transmission and telephony tank, fire protection system and signage will also be incorporated.
