Almost a month after the announcement of the start of one of the most anticipated works for Mar del Plata, significant progress can already be seen in the beltway that is being built in the southern area of ??the city.
From the government of Axel Kicillof they specified that on this date soil movement tasks are being carried out for the construction of embankment and shoulders; profiling and recompaction of soil; works in sewers to demolish and build; and construction of the support base of the concrete pavement.

The construction of the Circunvalación for Mar del Plata began: Kicillof and Raverta toured the work
The intervention is carried out in the section between Provincial Route No. 88 and Jorge Newbery Avenue. The Highway Administrator, Hernán Y Zurieta, explained the technical details of the work: "The paving of Secondary Road No. 045-02 is planned, in the section between Provincial Route No. 88 and Jorge Newbery Avenue, on a length greater than 16 kilometers. And he stated: "Its importance lies in the fact that it will provide an alternative connection to tourist traffic by linking the existing infrastructure of 515 street, from Jorge Newbery avenue to route 11 bound for Miramar, and the southern area of ??Mar del Plata."
The work is part of an investment that reaches 3 billion pesos. It was tendered in November 2022 and its contract was signed during a working meeting between the head of the Highway Administration, Hernán Y Zurieta, and Axel Kicillof in February of this year. On April 20, the Governor traveled to the district of General Pueyrredon and confirmed the start of the work together with Fernanda Raverta, head of the National Social Security Administration. |
