Work Detail CRE, the French energy regulator, originally planned to allocate 83 MW in its latest procurement exercise. France‘s Ministry of the Ecological Transition has reported results from the sixth round of the 282 MW solar tender for non-interconnected zones (ZNI). Launched in 2019, it is open to PV projects, including those with storage, ranging in size from 100 kW to 5 MW. The selection process resulted in the allocation of 89 projects totaling 49.8 MW in Corsica and Frances overseas territories. About 20.4 MW were designated for installations ranging from 100 kW to 500 kW on buildings or car park shades, while an additional 12.0 MW were awarded to projects of similar nature with capacities between 500 kW and 1.5 MW. French developer Albioma secured the largest share of assigned capacity with 8.2 MW. Following closely were GreenYellow with 4.2 MW, Corsica Energia with 4.0 MW, and Corsica Sole with 3.1 MW, ranking second, third, and fourth, respectively. The CRE originally planned to allocate 83 MW in the procurement exercise.
