They will build a bridge in Volcán and other road works in the Puna

The works of a bridge in the vicinity of the town of Volcán, in addition to the reconstruction of a sewer system between Abra Pampa and La Quiaca, in the vicinity of national route 9, will begin with an investment of almost $300 million that will be financed by the national State, reported the National Directorate of Highway.
After the signing of a contract by the national entity with the winning company in charge of carrying out the work, the local authorities celebrated that the works "are necessary to reinforce the road safety of people who circulate on National Route 9". .
It involves the construction of a bridge over the Coiruro stream, near the town of Volcán and the reconstruction of a culvert between Abra Pampa and La Quiaca.
To this end, the Jujuy National Highway district reported that the contract was signed with the legal representative of the winning company, Jumi SRL, which will allow the start of work to build a bridge on national route 9, km 1734 and the replacement of a culvert and its accesses, on the same route at km 1907.
The first has a current amount of $199,852,987, in which a reinforced concrete bridge with prestressed beams and indirect foundation will be built, which will have a span of 20 meters and a minimum height from the bottom of the beam of 3 meters to natural terrain.
The total width of the board will be 17.30 meters with pedestrian sidewalks on both sides, which will facilitate the circulation of pedestrians who circulate in the area.
On the other hand, the work to begin at kilometer 1,907.46 of National Route 9 reaches a current amount of $86,251,336, in which the existing sewer will be replaced by a reinforced concrete one with a road width of 6.70 meters, and will have sidewalks, railings, and 3-meter shoulders on both sides of the route.
"These works are necessary to reinforce the road safety of people who circulate on the RN 9 in the Quebrada de Humahuaca and the Puna Jujeña," said Alberto Busignani, head of the 6th Jujuy District of the DNV.
He stressed that the works will be carried out in "a road corridor that communicates with the south of Bolivia and with the central region of our country", whose investment by the Nation exceeds $280 million.
