The work of the Sewerage Network and Pumping Station in Ubajay was tendered, which will benefit 400 residents
With an official budget that exceeds 15 million pesos, the provincial government opened bids for the private tender for the Sewerage Network and Pumping Station Pumping, in Ubajay, Colón department.

The administrative act, led by the Minister of Planning, Marcelo Richard, was accompanied by the mayor of the town, Marcelo Giménez. Also present were the ministerial secretary Eugenia Mayr, the director of Sanitary Works, Elizabeth Pozzi, and members of the legal area of ??OSER.
This work, financed by the National Entity for Water and Sanitation Works (ENOHSA), is the result of permanent coordinated work carried out by the provincial government to finance numerous works.
The Sanitation Works Department acts as the executing body and maintains a constant work agenda with local governments, with the aim of sustaining and concretizing this type of demands. Within this framework, and given the need to solve the problems that arise in the original network and the transfer of sewage from the city of Ubajay, the tender that will allow the start of the works was carried out.
In this regard, the mayor of the town of Ubajay, Marcelo Giménez, said: "It is a very important work for us, very important for the neighbors, there are several families from the San José neighborhood of our town."
Likewise, Giménez remarked that “the impact of this work is above all environmental. It is a place that does not have sewers, it is a basement, where an impulsion work is needed, so the possibility of its execution was highly anticipated by the neighbors, since it will impact their quality of life.
The project has a design projection of 20 years and the replacement of the original network and a new pumping station are expected to improve the treatment of sewage fluids and the health of the population.
The projected sewage collection network involves 80 homes, it is considered that there are 5 people in each unit, for which it is estimated that the total population benefited is 400 inhabitants. The pumping station will be located on a completely underground public road, it will have civil works, placement and provision of electric pumps, panel and connection to the electrical network. In addition, 30 meters of 160 mm approach pipe from manhole No. 25 to said pumping station and 265.5 meters of 110 mm class 6 impulsion pipe.
The official budget amounts to 15,882,329.95 million pesos, with an execution period of 60 calendar days. The company Cyalco SRL presented itself as a bidder.
