Work Detail ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE: BID ENVELOPES OPENED TO BUILD MORE URBAN PAVEMENT IN FONTANA AND CHARATA There are 48 blocks for Fontana with an investment of $552,787,916 and 23 blocks for Charata with an investment of $591,330,891. In both cases they include lighting and storm drains. Governor Jorge Capitanich opened envelopes with bids for the paving of 48 blocks in Fontana and 23 in Charata. In both, two bidders appeared. "What we do in terms of basic social infrastructure is very important, which involves 14,000 blocks in three terms, doubling the stock of urban pavement that existed before in the province," said the president. "The paving blocks in Fontana are added to a program of approximately six million dollars that will allow, together with Marconi Avenue, to pave between 600 and 700 blocks in our mandate, which implies 70% coverage of the streets," Captainich indicated. "As in Charata, where we know very well the impact it has: drainage, vertical and horizontal signage to reduce the road accident rate, connectivity of public institutions to improve access, lighting and trees," added the governor. With an investment of $552,787,916, the Fontana blocks will be built in the area of ??the neighborhoods with 150 homes and 444 homes, which represents a total of 4,871 linear meters with concrete road and integral curbs: 2,255 meters above Uruguay, Fontana, diagonal Harterek and passage Carlos M. Alvear; 2,341 meters over Cacuí passage, Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires passage, Roldán passage, Roldán street, Fontana passage, Brazil passage, Bolivia passage, Bolivia street, Molina street and Molina passage; and 275 meters above Augusto Rey passage. While in Charata, with an investment of $591,330,891, the blocks to be paved will be executed on Lavalle, from Juramento to Pueyrredón, and the perpendiculars: Juramento, Castelli, Tacuarí, Alberdi, Las Heras, Almirante Brown, Sarmiento, Vieytes, Patricios and Saavedra. Minister Santiago Pérez Pons highlighted the fact that "in more than 55 municipalities the Government is executing new pavement works to strengthen urban development and the generation of genuine employment." "We continue in a transformation process, investing a large amount of resources in responses for the population through more works that also mobilize the entire construction sector," he said. The mayor of Fontana, Patricia Rodas, assured that the initiative "means a lot for Fontana and its growth." «We are happy for the pavement works thanks to the Government that has a special look towards our city. This means improving trafficability, the quality of life of each neighbor and progress. Fontana has grown a lot and we are expanding the services, we are working to be able to provide the neighbor with services and improvements in the quality of life”, she stated. While the mayor of Charata, Alejandra Campos, pointed out that Lavalle "is an important artery because it is a corridor where people from many neighborhoods circulate" and that "it was another desire of the people of Charata." “This work is a corridor that covers around five neighborhoods, it is a very long avenue that has around 50 blocks in total and crosses the entire city, that is the importance of having obtained these blocks, to later be able to continue with the project to pave from end to end to benefit more residents of the city”, he remarked.
