The investment is 72 million pesos for the second stage.
The National Directorate of Roads launched this Wednesday an international public tender to expand and improve security at the accesses to Paso Cristo Redentor. The project includes the recovery of national routes 40 and 143, in Mendoza.
This is the second stage of the works provided for in the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Loan and will have an execution period of 4 months.
As stated in the call for bids, which was published in the Official Gazette of the Nation, the call will also be disseminated in the United Nations Development Business (UNDB), an online database run by the United Nations Department of Public Information .
The estimated investment is 72 million pesos and companies from any country may be bidders, who may request additional information, until March 31, 2023.
The works on RN 40 extend between the intersection with RN 143 and the entrance to Tunuyán.
In relation to RN 143, the initiative covers the section that runs between the exit to the city of San Rafael and the junction with RN 40.
Guillermo Amstutz, head of the IV Mendoza National Highway District, indicated that "it is a great work." Among the main tasks to be carried out, he highlighted the milling of road rutting, the sealing of cracks, the patching with hot asphalt mix, the placement and/or readjustment of metal defense railings, horizontal and vertical marking, bridge deck repair, and restitution and alteration of shoulders, among others.
According to the arguments of the project, the objective of the works is to increase the productive activity of the regional economies, reduce the costs of vehicle operation and the travel time of the users. In turn, it aims to improve the conditions of accessibility and connectivity in the area. |
