The Schneider Home platform consists of five home components that integrate energy resources and digital capabilities, including:
– Schneider Pulse : A smart electrical panel powered by integrated technology, functionality and intelligence to interconnect various energy sources.
– Schneider Boost : The energy storage battery that stores solar energy during the day and uses it during peak hours to save on electricity bills and keep power flowing during outages.
– Schneider Inverter : The high-power hybrid inverter for solar and storage that converts solar energy production into usable AC electricity.
– Schneider charger: The electric vehicle charger harnesses solar energy and on-site storage to increase charging speeds and reduce charging costs.
– Schneider Home : The control system with a smartphone application that allows supervision, control and automation of all energy management through a single app.
For an existing home, Schneider Electric reports that it makes the most sense when a customer needs to make upgrades to their electrical system, for example, if theyre adding new technology like an electric vehicle (EV) and charging system. The residential system includes the solar inverter, but installation of the system would require other aspects of the solar system, such as wiring and electrical equipment, to be supplied separately by an electrician or EPC contractor, a company spokesperson told pv magazine .

Faruq joined Schneider Electric in September 2021 to lead the Schneider Home platform after six years at Tesla, where he was director of business operations for the electric vehicle makers residential power business, as well as director of operations and growth for rooftop solar .
In the past two years, Schneider Electric has made a flurry of corporate acquisitions of products that comprise many of the core solutions found in the Schneider Home platform, such as EV Connect, Qmerit, Zeigo, EnergySage, and AutoGrid Holdings, whose technologies they include residential EV charging, climate technology data, and integration of distributed energy resources.
