The bidding process began to build the hospital that will be located in the Pereyra Rosas neighborhood. It will have five blocks and 52 hospital beds. In addition, the Governor delivered highly complex ambulances to the Chicoana hospital and SAMEC, totaling 78 during his administration.
"Historically, there has never been so much investment in public health in Salta," said Governor Gustavo Sáenz, leading the presentation of the new Salta Emergency Hospital.
He also highlighted that "we are keeping our word, when we said that during this year the new Salta Emergency Hospital would be tendered", in relation to the start-up of the bidding process for the construction of this new service that will be located in the Pereyra neighborhood Rozas, north of the city.

"In just over 24 months we will make this dream come true," said the president, recalling that the new hospital will allow resolving medical assistance situations resulting from events and/or traumatic and non-traumatic pictures and clinical-surgical acute pathologies for adult patients.
During the ceremony held at the Government House, the Governor thanked the Minister of Public Health Juan José Esteban, who will leave his post "after a year and three months in which he had to take charge of the worst health crisis caused by the pandemic, with a deteriorated health system.
Thus, Sáenz announced that the work in public health will continue.
In this same order, Minister Esteban said that for next year there are more than 100 works and 5 new hospitals in the pipeline; “In my 42 years in public health, I have never seen so much investment before,” he remarked.
Also in attendance were Lieutenant Governor Antonio Marocco; executive ministers; provincial and municipal legislators; the general director of Samec, Jorge Argüello; the manager of the Chicoana Hospital Mirta Sandoval; Samec personnel, among others.
