Work Detail Two proposals were received for the construction of a new water treatment plant. The public tender has an official budget of $1,125 million and will double the safe water production capacity for our city. Bid envelopes were opened for the work of a new water treatment plant Bid envelopes were opened for the work of a new water treatment plant Bid envelopes were opened for the work of a new water treatment plant the opening of the tender envelopes for the work of a new water treatment plantThe opening of the tender envelopes for the work of a new water treatment plant was carried out On the morning of Tuesday, November 15, in the Hall of Memory, the envelopes for the public tender for the construction of a new water treatment plant were opened. An investment with national funds of more than $1,125 million so that Gualeguaychú continues to grow Initiating the formal act, the Secretary of Public Works and Services Carlos García said “we thank the 2 companies that presented themselves in due time and form for this tender. Also thank Messrs. Torres and Lujan, from the ENOHSA team. This is a great dream planned at the beginning of the management, to be able to work on this project. The day has come to see the offers. The term will be 12 months for the construction of the new plant, which will be added to the existing one. It should be noted that these two companies that have presented themselves have been engaged in the activity for years (construction of water treatment plants)”. After this, prior to the opening, Mayor Martín Piaggio highlighted “I want to thank everyone present. It is an important moment for the residents of Gualeguaychú. We have reached this point, thanks to the work of the municipal team and ENOHSA. It is an enormous commitment assumed and that has been transforming peoples lives. We are at the door of transformation and a key moment. These bidding processes are transparent, and we offer the possibility to the population to participate and observe how the opening of envelopes develops in all the biddings -which we have already carried out several-, this being the most important in this management. Also, I do not want to pass up the opportunity to name a great actor in this, the former director of waterworks Iván Mataitis, who was in charge of the project for a long time.” Let us remember that within the framework of the Municipal Drinking Water Plan, this project was designed, which includes the incorporation, in the current Municipal Sanitation Works property, of a new water treatment plant with flocculation, decantation, and filtration modules with their corresponding interconnection to current systems. for a treatment capacity of 1,200 m3/h, which will double the current production capacity. This enormous project is assembled with the construction work of a new raw water catchment in the Gualeguaychú river, already tendered, in the awarding process based on a budget of more than $377 million, which will expand the catchment and impulsion capacity of 1300 m3/h to 2600m3/h The works include the incorporation of new alkalization systems, measurement of plant output flows, sludge treatment and facilities for dosing additives. As well, it also contemplates the restoration of the reserve tank. All the units will be linked to the existing facilities: to the existing loading chamber at the entrance and to the buried storage cistern at the exit of the new module. GENERAL DESCRIPTION Gualeguaychú has an existing water treatment plant located on municipal land, which takes water from the Gualeguaychú river, whose production capacity is not sufficient for future population requirements. Therefore, an expansion of the plant is proposed. The works imply the expansion of the existing purification system that consists of the construction of a new module for conventional compact purification treatment through: • Compact treatment module in metallic structure composed of Four (4) 3-stage flocculators Eight (8) settlers with sediment tubes. Sixteen (16) quick filters. All the venues will be built on a metal structure and supported on reinforced concrete stalls. The units will be built in the space available on the site of the current Water Treatment Plant, and will be linked to the existing facilities: to the existing loading chamber at the entrance and to the underground storage cistern at the exit of the new module. As previously mentioned, in this stage 4 treatment plants will be built, with a production capacity of 311 m3/h each, contributing 295 m3/h to the water distribution system, with the remaining 16 m3/h destined for filter washing. The 4 treatment plants to be executed will have identical characteristics to each other, so the elements adopted for each of them are developed below. For all the elements up to and including the calculation of the sedimentation tanks, the flow rate of 317m3/hour is used, in the sedimentation tanks a flow rate of 6m3/hour will be eliminated together with the sludge; therefore, the elements downstream of the sedimentation tanks will be calculated with a flow of 311 m3/hour. Reserve Tank Restoration Depending on the use of the Obras Sanitarias reserve tank for filter washing, it will be restored. It has a capacity of 1.2 million liters and is located on the property of the water treatment plant, in the highest area of ??the urban plant. The work consists of the exterior repair of the large tank that contains 12 columns with an intermediate beam and a main tank with a volume that exceeds one million liters, built in concrete with textured plaster finishes, with a maximum height of 23.50 meters and a diameter of 16.50 meters. The tasks consist of hydro-washing the surfaces with pressurized water, caring for and preserving the moldings to remove encrustations, elimination of accumulations of lichens and mosses that thrive on them. For this work, it is necessary to assemble perimeter scaffolding to carry out cleaning and preparation of the external surface, to then carry out the necessary repairs of the different visible elements, columns, beams, moldings, vertical walls, upper lid and ceiling. .
