After two failures in the tender, the future of the Camet cop is concerned: "Nothing else is known"

There is concern and uncertainty among the residents of Parque Camet about the future of the municipal sports center located in Ghandi and Las Lambercianas after the failure that was registered in the two tenders promoted by the government of Guillermo Montenegro to try to value the sports scenario that remains completely abandoned since 2015.
Almost two months after the last bidding attempt made by the municipality, there were no more official news about the fate of the work and that silence renews the alarm in the community. "We dont know anything yet," said Daniela Martínez Delfino, from the "Red Juntos por Camet."
In August, the management of Montenegro launched two tenders for 122,724,590 pesos to prepare the sports center and inaugurate it once and for all. However, on both occasions, the result was the same: there was no private party interested in the offer.
The following month, the neighbors managed to contact the authorities of the Ministry of Works and Urban Planning and in that meeting they confided the intention of making a new call with another "more updated budget". "We asked for information again but we had no response," said Delfino.
The neighborhood reference, in any case, stressed that the municipality soon placed a night watchman on the sports center grounds after a request that was raised in recent weeks. "The idea is that nothing strange happens inside and that the sports center does not become a space where there may be complex situations for the community, which could also cause the breakdown of infrastructure," she explained, before the 0223 query.
While waiting for news and for another tender, the neighbors are preparing to hold a "festival" on Saturday, November 12, from 2 to 5 pm, next to the sports center. This is the seventh event organized with the same purpose: to make visible the request for the opening of the stage that the administration of former mayor Gustavo Pulti began to build and left unfinished.
During the day, there will be the presence of artists and other open classes of hockey, soccer, games and even childrens championships. "We are going to do different sports and cultural activities that show, in some way, everything that could be developed within the sports center if it were finished," said the woman from "Red Juntos por Camet."
The ambitious work on the property located in Ghandi and Las Lambercianas was paralyzed in 2015, when it showed an execution level of more than 70 percent. Carlos Arroyo, the mayor who succeeded Pulti, never took charge of the pending work and since then the building has been adrift. During Pultis management, the construction of five neighborhood sports centers began, but only those in Colinas de Peralta Ramos, Las Heras and Libertad were completed.
