This is the Los Cerezos II neighborhood, which will be executed with provincial financing through the Mendoza Construye Line 1 program. It is the first project after several years, where the IPV will once again finance 100% of the internal urbanization and infrastructure works.
A crowded enterprise will begin to be built in the coming months in the department of Tunuyán, thanks to an agreement signed by the highest authorities of the Ministry of Planning and Public Infrastructure, the Provincial Housing Institute (IPV) and the Municipality.
Through this agreement, the parties agree on a work plan where the Municipality undertakes to guarantee the service of electricity, water, sewage and gas for the 142 homes that will be built on the property located in the district of Vista Flores, on Martín Güemes street. .
These works will be in charge of the Municipality, which also assumes the execution of the cleaning and leveling of the land, as well as the construction of the corresponding hydraulic and irrigation works.
For its part, the IPV will be in charge of making the call for bids for the construction of the 142 units and the urbanization and internal infrastructure works.
Minister Mario Isgró, who participated in the signing of this agreement, stated that "this collaboration agreement, and others that we will sign from now on, has to do with an urban public policy to be able to use land located in urban areas of the province and dismiss the use of those that invade agricultural areas, not only because of what the affectation of these areas means, but also because of the cost involved in taking the services there.”
For her part, the president of the IPV, María Marta Ontanilla, explained that “the agreement that we have just signed commits us as IPV to carry out all the urbanization and internal infrastructure works in addition to the execution of the 142 homes. For its part, the Municipality will be responsible for connecting the services to bring the water, sewage and electricity networks to the gate of the land”.
This work, which is part of the Mendoza Construye Program, establishes a difference with other projects, since the internal urbanization tasks that were previously the responsibility of the municipalities, will now be borne by the IPV.
“It is important to highlight that this is the first agreement that we signed with these characteristics. However, this measure will be extended to all the municipalities that present their projects, provided that the adjoining works in the surroundings of the land are guaranteed”, stressed the IPV official.
Meanwhile, the mayor Martín Aveiro commented: "With the IPV we have been working with many projects, among them, the prioritization of this neighborhood that means a great investment because it implies the construction of 142 homes for Tunuyán."
Regarding the role of the Municipality in this project, Aveiro explained that it will be in charge of executing the complementary works (alluvial collectors). "We have already worked on the feasibility and we will do it with the tasks to bring the water and electricity services to the place," he concluded.
This call, it is estimated, may be made in the coming weeks, which will start a process that will take a few months until the final award of the work.
