The expansion work of the new fishing dock of the port of the capital of Chubut is 75% complete, and work is being done so that the new sector is operational, at the start of the next shrimp season from provincial waters, at the beginning of November.
The company Concret-Nor SA is in charge of the development of the work that consists of the extension of 47.40 meters, towards the east, of the already existing structure, which will allow the front of the docking This represents a 35 percent increase in the operating area.
The Ministry of Infrastructure, Energy and Planning of Chubut, led by the architect, Gustavo Aguilera, recently approved a redetermination of prices proposed by the company awarded the work based on the inflationary process that the country is going through and the higher costs generated since that the work was projected, the contract was signed, it was executed until today.
It is worth remembering that the work on the expansion of the fishing dock of the port of Rawson began with its administrative process through Tender No. 07 of the year 2020, an opportunity in which an official budget of $162,393,602 was set, with a term of 270 day run.
Four bidders presented themselves at the end of that year: Eca Empresa Constructora; Fabri/Villegas Constructions; Sudelco/Edisur and Concret-Nor. On September 30, 2020, bids were opened for the tender in Rawson.
In the interim, there was a considerable delay of nine months, and it was not until June 29, 2021 that the work contract was signed with the successful bidder, which turned out to be the Concret-Nor company, and the amount of the work was established for a total of $ 143,920,700.
The execution of the expansion of the dock was stipulated in a period of nine months, although it is expected that the works would not be completed until the end of October or the beginning of November, and it would be operational for the mooring of fishing boats.
Based on the higher costs in the construction index and the general rise in prices implied by the inflationary process in the country, the Government of Chubut authorized a redetermination of prices for an amount of $92,345,091, so that the amount end of the work amounted to $236,265,792, as determined in Resolution No. 320 of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Energy and Planning of Chubut, which was accessed by Revista Puerto.
The pier will have 35 percent more operability, allowing two yellow fleet ships to moor and on them in swaths.
