Work Detail Within the framework of the Renewable Energies Project in Rural Markets (Permer) of the Secretary of Energy of the Argentine government, four bidders have been submitted for the tender for the construction and operation of two photovoltaic plants with batteries for the Ventana al Universo Astronomical complex, in the province of Salta, and for the original community of Paloma Yaco, in the province of Catamarca. The Argentine companies Coradir, Semisa, Multiradio and Mega have participated in the call, which had been made last July . Entitled Construction Works and Initial Operation of Two Photovoltaic Generation Plants with Accumulation in the Provinces of Salta and Catamarca, the LPN No. 4/2022 tender proposes two photovoltaic generation mini networks with accumulation for the Salta Ventana al Universo Astronomical Complex, in the province of Salta, and for the town of Paloma Yaco, inhabited by families from the Diaguita community, in Catamarca. While the offer from the company Coradir has not submitted a price, the other three have. In the case of the Semisa company, it has presented a joint offer for both lots of 5.5 million dollars (4.7 million dollars for the Salta plant, and 845 thousand dollars for the Catamarca plant); Multiradio offered a total of 9.1 million dollars (7.7 and 1.4 million dollars, respectively; and Mega, 7.4 million dollars (it only submitted an offer for the Salta plant). The general coordinator of Permer, Luciano Gilardon, stressed that "this is a very significant tender for us because it is a point of evolution in the history of Permer since it is the first that is addressed to the national and international scientific community." Salta Window to the Universe is a collaborative project financed by the Ministry of Energy, between Permer, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and the province of Salta. Also participating in the project are the National Commission for Space Activities (CONAE), the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA), the National Communications Entity (Enacom), the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and the National University of Salta. , among other Argentine institutions. The mini photovoltaic network in this case will be 595 kWp, located at 4,820 meters above sea level, and will serve to energize the facilities and astronomical observation instruments of the LLAMA and QUBIC projects in Alto Los Chorrillos, San Antonio de Los Cobres. LLAMA is a radio telescope to investigate the evolution of stars and black holes in distant galaxies, the result of a joint scientific undertaking between Argentina and Brazil. QUBIC, for its part, is a collaborative cosmology project between scientific institutions in Italy, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States and Argentina for the study of the first moments after the birth of the universe. The Paloma Yaco mini-grid, meanwhile, will have a peak power of 70 kWp, with a total energy in the battery bank of 400 kWh. It will be used to provide permanent electricity to 12 rural homes, a primary and secondary school and several public institutions in the Diaguita community.
