Thanks to an investment that exceeds $1,000 million, more than 52,000 neighbors will have a network of safe and quality drinking water.
The North Trunk Aqueduct in Oberá, Misiones reached a physical progress of more than 67%, it is a work that is being developed, with a 100-year projection, within the framework of the PROFESA program thanks to an investment that exceeds $1,000 million. Once the works are finished, around 52,000 neighbors will stop using tank trucks or poor networks and will have access to a quality service.
This work seeks not only to satisfy the current and future demand of the city, but also to achieve an energy performance of the system through the strategic location of tanks and reserves. In addition, accessibility to drinking water will be improved in the entire northern area of ??the municipality, the second largest in the province, which today has a defective service.
The works, which are carried out through the Provincial Institute for Housing Development (IPRODHA) and are supervised by the Provincial Water and Sewage Regulatory Entity (EPRAC), involve the installation of 11,493 meters of PEAD (high-density polyethylene) pipes, of a cistern and reserve tanks to optimize its operation.
Construction begins at the water treatment plant with a 500-mm-diameter pipe to a 1,500,000-liter storage tank. From there, the pipe varies in diameter, according to the requirements of each neighborhood. In the same way, a bi-tube and a fiber optic conductor are foreseen throughout the trace for the future implementation of a control system.
Finally, with a view to optimizing the current system of the water treatment plant, the assembly of a 100 m3 tank for the backwashing of filters is contemplated. Likewise, among the benefited neighborhoods are: Villa Osorio, Villa Kleiven, Villa Shuster, Villa Torneus, Barrio 180 Viviendas, Villa Stemberg, Barrio 100 Hectareas and Villa Lindstrom, among others. |
