Get to know in detail the sanitation and drinking water works that will benefit six departments Six important projects of drinking water and sewage works carried out by OSSE may be carried out after the recent financing efforts by Governor Sergio Uñac before the National Entity of Water Works of Sanitation (Enohsa), in the Federal Capital. Considering the demographic growth and its imminent expansion, the provincial government, through Sanitary Works, has been developing a Drinking Water and Sanitation Works Master Plan since 2020. In order to move forward with this plan, the provincial head of state obtained the agreement for the execution of three sanitation works and three drinking water works, framed in Enhosas Profesa and Proarsa programs. It is noteworthy that the population of the town of Barreal, in the department of Calingasta, will have a sanitation system for the first time. Likewise, in Sarmiento, the Original Peoples will have the drinking water service for the first time. Meanwhile, in Rivadavia the sanitation service will be expanded, and in Rawson the optimization of the water supply system is expected. The objective of the work is to provide, for the first time, a comprehensive sewerage sanitation system for the entire town of Barreal. Optimization and Execution of Improvements in the “Bajo Segura” Treatment Plant, in Santa Lucía Population benefited: Greater San Juan The objective of the work is to re-functionalize the existing pumping station, the grit trap, the degreaser and the construction of a five-series facultative lagoon treatment system. Comprehensive Potable Water Supply and Reinforcement System, in Albardón Population benefited: urban areas of the department The work aims to improve the drinking water supply system in the departments urban areas through the construction of aqueducts: to the north, Las Lomitas Aqueduct; to the south, La Cañada Aqueduct; to the east, Calle Lozano and San Nicolás Aqueduct; and to the southwest Callejón Recabarren. In addition, the Las Lomitas Drinking Water Plant will be refunctionalized. Technical data Pipe length to be installed: 25 kilometers. Financing: Ministry of the Interior, Public Works and Housing of the Nation, through the Proarsa program. South Aqueduct, Pocito Population benefited: inhabitants of the towns of Tres Esquinas, Las Lagunas, Indigenous Peoples and San Carlos.
