Work Detail These are 664 homes in the rural area of ??Chuquisaca, which do not have electricity due to the topography of the land, the distance from the distribution networks and the dispersion of the communities and families. In Bolivia, 664 households in the rural area of ??Chuquisaca that do not have access to the electricity grid due to the topography of the land, the distance from distribution networks and the dispersion of communities and families, will have electricity thanks to solar energy . The Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy, Franklin Molina Ortiz, delivered home photovoltaic systems to families during a ceremony held in the municipality of Yamparáez. The systems contain a 147 Wh lithium battery, a 50 Wp photovoltaic panel, three fixed LED lights, an LED flashlight and connection accessories. As explained by the ministry, the kits are free for the beneficiary families of 4 municipalities of Chuquisaca: Yamparaez (75 households), Icla (51 households), Tomina (145 households) and Zudáñez (393 households). The project investment is more than 1.6 million Bolivians (about 225 thousand dollars) from a loan agreement signed between Bolivia and the Financial Fund for the Development of the River Plate Basin Countries (FONPLATA). Recently there was a controversy in Bolivia over the supposed charge to the beneficiaries of home photovoltaic systems : The Vice Minister of Electrification and Alternative Energies, Edgar Caero, denied that in the town of Zudáñez the municipality charged 330 bolivianos (around 43.68 dollars ) per module delivered to the beneficiaries of the installation of home photovoltaic systems.
