A 30 kWp photovoltaic plant is being built in the city of Gualeguaychú, in the province of Entre Ríos, Argentina. This is the third that is promoted by the local municipality.
The location of the solar park will be in the Parque de la Estación, known as the Corsódromo. The Corsódromo is a space destined to carry out the celebrations during the carnival festivities, the first of its kind in Argentina, with 500 meters long and a width of 10 meters and with a capacity of about 35 thousand people.
The installation will have 30 kWp, which will be connected in parallel with the electrical distribution network and in case of surplus energy it will be injected into the network, and it is estimated that it will generate 5,500 kWh per month.
It is interesting to know that the site where the photovoltaic installation will be located in a pergola will have a space for the dynamic generation of electricity from stationary bicycles, treadmills and elliptical trainers which, as well as being able to perform physical exercises on them, these machines They will be able to generate approximately between 100 and 300 W, suitable for charging handheld electronic devices, such as mobile phones or tablets.
The announced investment in the project is 25 million pesos (186 thousand dollars).
In 2019, the city of Entre Ríos inaugurated its first municipal solar park , with an installed capacity of 49 kWp, which allows it to generate around 20% of all the energy consumed by the water treatment plant throughout the year.
At the end of 2020, a tender was announced for what ended up being Gualeguaychús second photovoltaic plant , a 100 kWp solar park installed in October 2021 at the citys sewage effluent treatment plant. |
