The Energy Sustainability Agency (AgenciaSE) and the Chilean Ministry of Energy invite you to apply for the Third Energy Community Contest, whose objective is to promote energy solution initiatives for communities that are in some situation of vulnerability.
In the call, it is explained that direct beneficiaries may be "social organizations, such as territorial organizations (neighborhood associations), functional organizations (sports associations, youth organizations, parent centers, groups of older adults, among others) or cooperatives (of work, tourism, agriculture, livestock, among other items)”.
"Also - the statement continues - they may be people linked to a social organization, who participate formally or informally in it."
An important point regarding the above is that these beneficiaries “must be found within the Social Registry of Homes (RSH) of the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MDSyF), which will be corroborated through the municipalities once the initiative is awarded. ”.
The reference framework to define the dimensions of the so-called energy poverty of households will focus on physical access to energy, quality of supply, habitability conditions and the dimension of energy expenditure.
This initiative technically and financially supports municipalities to develop their Local Energy Strategy (EEL) "with communal energy visions and action plans devised from the community", it is specified.
A maximum co-financing of 10,000,000 Chilean pesos (11,000 dollars) per project is contemplated, which will correspond to 70% of the total cost.
The closing date for applications is September 30.
