Work Detail The Chinese manufacturer Enerack presents a canopy that can house all types and sizes of solar panels and has waterproof technology to protect it from the rain. Chinese photovoltaic system provider Enerack offers a solar carport solution for shopping malls, gas stations, public parking lots and private homes. “The main market for our solar canopy is Europe, but we have also sold the system in the Middle East, South Africa, Panama, Guatemala and Chile,” company designer and business developer Ivan Yordanov told pv magazine . According to the company, the carport can house all types and sizes of solar panels. “We started developing the system a few years ago, when the average size of solar modules was 1,755mm x 1,038 x 35mm, and the power output was 300W,” Yordanov said. "Today, our carport system can accommodate modules with dimensions up to 2,280 mm x 1,133 mm x 35 mm." The panels can be installed on the canopy at an angle of inclination between 5 and 30 degrees and in a horizontal or vertical configuration. The carport is made of AL6005-T5 type aluminum alloy and has a longitudinal sinking rail that is capable of collecting water from the horizontal gap between the solar module. “To keep the water out of the sump as much as possible, the solar panels are installed at a distance of 1mm,” Yordanov stated. “The solar panel fixed track is designed to be fixed from the bottom of the module itself with a custom clamp, making installation easy.” The system is scalable in a MW-sized configuration. “We use lane connections and lane cuts that allow for more solar modules to be installed,” Yordanov explained. "Each garage can house a different number of modules, depending on the size and characteristics of the project." The system can be connected to the grid, linked to storage or used for recharging electric vehicles. “The cost of a basic system housing two vehicles ranges from $1,300 to $1,350,” Yordanov concluded.
