Work Detail State Government of Jalisco in Mexico has announced a commitment to invest MXN2 billion (US$102.26 million) in construction works for the light rail line 4 project in Tlajomulco de Zuñiga. The state government will provide funding from its budgets for 2022, 2023, and 2024. The estimated investment value for the project is MXN9.72 billion (US$496.3 million), out of which a private partner will invest US$290 million. Line 4 will connect Tlajomulco de Zuñiga with Guadalajara city along with stations at Periférico Sur, Adolf B. Horn, Concepcion del Valle, San Sebastian, La Fortuna, Centro Universitario, Tlajomulco Centro and Las Juntas. The light rail line is expected to provide services to 200,000 people per day. In May 2022, President López Obrador pledged to invest US$400 million in Line 4 and the El Zapotillo storage dam. He signed a letter of promise stating that the light rail project would cost roughly US$100 million and that the funds would be funneled through the National Fund for Infrastructure (FONADIN).
