Asphalt: La Pampa invested $1,700 million in Santa Rosa
With the presence of Governor Sergio Ziliotto, the envelopes for the public tender "Rehabilitation and paving in the streets of Santa Rosa" were opened with an official budget of 1,700 million pesos. The president explained that in the Province there are 756 public works completed, underway, tendered and projected, of which 56 correspond to the Pampas capital, where the level of investment exceeds 29 billion pesos. "In these difficult times we have made the decision to continue contributing from the provincial state to sustain the economy," said the Pampas governor.
Ziliotto led the act together with the mayor of the capital, Luciano Di Nápoli; the lieutenant governor, Mariano Fernández; the Minister of Works and Public Services, Julio Rojo and the President of the Provincial Directorate of Roads, Rodrigo Cadenas. Provincial and municipal officials and bidding companies were also present: Jubete Ángel Omar, Vial A SA and Cleanosol Argentina.
"Investing in public works is quality of life, economic activity and job creation," said the governor, and expressed that "this government has as its ideological conception a present State, which is responsible for strengthening the economy. Today an investment is being made, through public works, which is the most dynamic sector of the economy, and distinguishes us in the administration of the resources, the effort and the work of all the people of the Pampas”.
56 works in Santa Rosa and 756 in La Pampa
"To render accounts is to demonstrate what we are doing," assured the Pampas president and explained that in the distribution scheme of the budget affected in public works, in Santa Rosa we have 25 works in progress for $8.9 billion, 11 open tenders for $3.07 billion, 17 close to bidding for $10,300 million, 3 in project status for $6,900 million, which gives more than 29 billion pesos to finance 56 works”.
“This –he added- transferred to the provincial context, gives us 351 completed works throughout the Pampas territory; 199 running; 62 tendered; 69 about to be tendered and 75 in project. This makes a total of 756 in all of La Pampa”.
"It is our obligation to sustain the economy, even more so in times when clouds appear, some true, others invented through permanent destabilization campaigns," Ziliotto emphasized.
In this sense, he added that “in these difficult times we have made the decision to continue contributing from the provincial State to sustain the economy. We leave it expressed in public investment, in a bank that is honoring its genesis as a development entity, in a strong commitment to financing the private sector, reinforcing the generation of employment, the national industry and Argentine work”.

The mayor of Santa Rosa pointed out that "this is one of the moments that management gives, because responses to the needs of Santa Rosa are beginning to be reflected."
“From the first day Sergio –Ziliotto- approached me and told me that we were going to work together to get the city forward, which was in a health emergency. We proposed this joint work, coordinating actions to repair the sewage network, invest in the repair of the drinking water network, make deep investments in the citys drains and, of course, transform the asphalt layer ”he recalled.
“That is why I am grateful because the agreements did not remain only in words. At this rate and at this point, the figures for public works in Santa Rosa are historic”.
"These figures -he emphasized- demonstrate the joint work of the Province, the Municipality and the Nation, because the Ministry of Public Works is also making important investments in Santa Rosa, through Enhosa, in the replacement of sewage networks".
Commitments fulfilled
Di Nápoli explained that “the commitment we assumed with Governor Ziliotto at the beginning of the administration was to repair the sewage network” and described that “to date we have changed 36 km. of pipes on the 180 that exist in the city. We repaired pumping station No. 2, which is the heart of our sewage system. Pumping station No. 1 is under construction, to the north of the city. We have many projects and agreements already signed to advance on networks”.
“We add road safety to these issues, due to the deterioration of the asphalt layer. Together with the Provincial Government, we have already paved the historic center of the city. We still have a lot to do, but we are attacking the main entrance corridors to the neighborhoods of Santa Rosa”, he specified.
Details of the works
Rehabilitation and paving works will be carried out on some 289 blocks with cold asphalt micro-agglomerate and hot asphalt concrete and the execution of pavement in completely new blocks on the streets of Santa Rosa.
The works have an official budget, updated to May, of $1,708,090,000.- and a delivery period of 18 months.
In the streets (136) already paved, milling of the existing bearing layer will be carried out, in the most deteriorated streets (65), the milling and recycling of the existing structure is planned prior to the construction of the new bearing layer.
Meanwhile, in the new streets to be paved (88), the works will involve preparing the subgrade, executing curbs and speed bumps, granular base construction, priming, sprinkling and 4 cm hot asphalt layer.
Cordons, speed bumps and the reconditioning of the sewage network will also be carried out. |
