The official budget is $1,148 million, the connection between national routes 34 and provincial 13, in the south of the Castellanos department, is completed.
The paving work on Provincial Route No. 63, between Colonia Margarita and María Juana, in the southern area of ??the Castellanos department, is 23% complete. The works have a budget of 1,148,984,174.06 pesos for this section of 10.2 kilometers.
In this regard, the DPVs general administrator for Roads, Oscar Ceschi, explained that “it is a very important area for production. With these paved roads we managed to improve the communication of the towns with the national route Nº 34. For our governor Omar Perotti it is a priority to reach each locality. We have been demonstrating it with concrete works in each zone of the province”, he indicated.
The works
Said works are in charge of UT Obring SA, Edeca SA and Laromet SA They include the paving of the second stage of the transverse route that connects national routes Nº 34 (San Vicente) and provincial Nº 13 (María Juana). The first stage was developed in an extension of 7.8 kilometers between San Vicente and Colonia Margarita and was completed in May 2021.

The works are 23% advanced and are being developed on two fronts: east and west of the section. In the west, some 1,800 meters were worked on during the last week. It was with the conformation of asphalt concrete folder, with a thickness of 5 centimeters, on which another bearing with the same characteristics will be applied. Meanwhile, in the eastern area, the tasks extend over 4,000 meters, where embankments, transverse and lateral culverts are executed. Also the creation of a new curve in order to improve road safety.
The project includes the construction of a link through separating islands at the intersection of provincial routes 13 and 63, as well as 13 and 48-s, at the access to Garibaldi, with the corresponding lighting, metal defenses, culverts and retrofitting of power lines.
More works
Likewise, the DPV reported that the section from Marini to Eusebia is also being paved in the Castellanos department; resurfacing Route 13; and another stage of resurfacing on Route 70 will soon begin.
