Work Detail Athi Water Works Development Agency invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing consultancy services for a preliminary feasibility study, detailed design and tender documentation for West Nairobi Water and Sanitation Project. CLOSING DATE: 14 June 2022, 12pm (EAT) The Government of Kenya (GoK), on behalf of Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA), has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) for the cost of the Nairobi Rivers Basin Rehabilitation and Restoration Programme: Sewerage Improvement Project Phase II (NARSIP 2) and intends to apply part of the amount for this loan to payments under the contract for: Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study Preliminary and Detailed Design and Tender Documentation for West Nairobi Water and Sanitation Project. The services included in this project are: Prepare the feasibility studies, preliminary design and detailed designs and bid documents for the water and sanitation services including two medium-sized dams (about 30m and 50m) to serve west Nairobi and satellite towns of Kikuyu, Limuru, Karuri, upper Lari and the area from Sigona, Western By-Pass to Ndenderu including Banana Hill and Kawaida. Prepare the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP)/Livelihood Restoration Programme (LRP) studies for the project and obtain NEMA licenses for the different project components. The consultant will, on the basis of the data provided by the client and proposed works, liaison with the client and other relevant stakeholders, his own experience and internationally accepted standards and practice to undertake all the assignments to ensure that the project objectives are met. The consultancy services will be carried out over a period of 12 (Twelve) months. The AWWDA now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
