The tender for the retrofitting of the distributor of Circunvalación and Av. Valparaíso advances

were two companies that presented technical proposals.
The works have a planned term of 10 months and will speed up circulation in the area.
This afternoon, at the headquarters of the company Caminos de las Sierras, the opening of offers with technical proposals for the readjustment of the transit distributor located in the southern arc of the Circunvalación, at the intersection with Av. Valparaíso - Camino San Antonio, was held.
The act was presided over by authorities from Caminos de las Sierras and Ersep (Regulatory Entity of Public Services), and was also supervised by a notary public.
The companies that submitted to the tender were two:
Supercemento SAIC.
Benito Roggio e Hijos – Boetto and Buttigliego SA Cooperation Consortium.
The works that will be carried out in this sector of the south arc of the Circunvalación will consist of the construction of new loops, the readjustment of the branches of turns to the right, the duplication of Av. Valparaíso in the crossing area on the Circunvalación, the construction of a new bridge parallel to the current one, the readjustment of the existing bridge, the construction of roundabouts at intersections with collectors; as well as the readjustment of drainage and execution of lighting and road safety works.
This refurbishment work at the intersection with Av. Valparaíso - Camino San Antonio has an execution period of 10 months and is part of the plan of interventions planned for this year in the five most conflictive distributors for traffic and which is added to those located in Av. Juan B. Justo – Route 9 North; Rancagua Avenue– Route A-174 Road to Colonia Tirolesa; Av. O´Higgins – Route A-103 Camino San Carlos; and Av. Capdevila – Route A-112 Camino Santa Rosa.
The five works to adapt the distributors will make it possible to solve capacity problems, improve connectivity between different sectors of the city and speed up the crossing over the Circunvalación. In all cases, the works will be financed exclusively with the company Caminos de las Sierras own funds from the toll collection.
