City of Buenos Aires, January 20, 2022- The national government officially awarded this Thursday the work for the comprehensive resurfacing of National Route 33, between the towns of General Villegas, Buenos Aires and Rufino, in Santa Fe.
The officialization of the project took place through the signing of the contract between the National Road Authorities and Rovella Carranza SA, a construction company that was the winner of the bidding process for the work. The resurfacing of the corridor will be financed by the Ministry of Public Works, through de Vialidad Nacional, from an amount greater than $3,290 million and will have an execution period of 24 months.
The works will be carried out along 97 km of the corridor and will include the total resurfacing of the road and the construction of paved shoulders at accesses such as Piedritas or Cañada Seca.
National Route 33 is an important corridor between the south of Santa Fe and the north of Buenos Aires, one of the regions with the greatest productive potential in Argentina, which connects the ports of Bahía Blanca and Rosario.
Along its route, RN 33 presents a notable movement of agricultural machinery and grain transport, and also has a significant number of industrial enterprises that will benefit from improvements in circulation. |
