Work Detail The company has identified that 22 of its facilities in the Valparaíso Region and another 12 in Coquimbo have the feasibility to install photovoltaic generation systems. He has already developed two. Esval, SA (Empresa Sanitaria de Valparaíso, Aconcagua y Litoral), has just taken stock of its first photovoltaic plants, located in the Mendocita and Chepical II systems -in Santa María- as a result of work with which the utility seeks to make more efficient and sustainable energy consumption. The initiative included the installation of 760 solar panels in both venues. "Today we are taking a first step in this direction and we hope to continue adding more clean energy to our processes," said Esvals regional manager, Alejandro Salas. As an operational backup measure in the event of possible power outages, the utility continues to have its emergency generators at both facilities, in order to maintain the continuity of the drinking water service in the area. Esval has identified that 22 of its facilities in the Valparaíso Region -and another 12 in the Coquimbo Region, where it operates through Agua del Valle-, have the feasibility to install photovoltaic generation systems, for which it plans to continue advancing in similar initiatives over the next few years.
