Egypt-based Hassan Allam Holding’s subsidiary, Hassan Allam Roads and Bridges, has completed the roadwork development for the Toshka-Owainat road, which spans 350km with a width of 23m.
The road was completed within one year and Hassan Allam Roads and Bridges’ scope of work included the construction of 10km of earthworks and a 20km base layer with a thickness of 40cm, amounting to 480,000m2.
The company announced via a LinkedIn post recently that the project will contribute to spreading the impact of the Toshka land reclamation project, which seeks to promote the agricultural development of desert areas, and will also facilitate the movement of goods, as well as access to remote areas and national borders. |
