The Illinois Tollway board of directors has authorized three construction and professional engineering services contracts totaling more than US$332.2 million, including contracts for the new I-490 Tollway and the Central Tri-State Tollway rehabilitation (I-294). The Tollway Board has authorized more than US$600 million in contracts for 2021, as part of the tenth year of the Tollway’s 15-year, US$14 billion Move Illinois construction program. Since the Move Illinois Program began in 2012, the Illinois Tollway has spent more than US$9.2 billion, with more than US$2.4 billion of that amount committed to small, diverse, and veteran-owned businesses. Furthermore, as of September, the capital program has produced or maintained an estimated 100,000 total employment. |
