The Amaala Company has launched the tender process for the utilities project based in Tabuk region on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia.
The planned public-private partnership (PPP) utilities package will involve the development of fully integrated utilities infrastructure for the Amaala project.
Amaala PPP package will include following utilities:
Renewable energy of capacity upto142MW
Desalination plant of capacity 143,000 cubic metres per day . The first phase will involve the development of 50,000 cm/d to 69,400 cm/d
Sewage treatment plant (STP) of capacity 15,600 cm/d. The first phase planned to meet demand of 8,200 cm/d
Waste management to meet total demand of 96 tonnes a day, with first phase due to cover 55 tonnes a day
District cooling: Develop district cooling capacity to meet a total demand of 72,500 refrigerated tonnes (TR), with the first phase to meet demand of 40,000 tonnes
The successful developer executes the project under the terms of, development, financing, design, engineering, procurement, manufacture, factory testing, transportation, construction, erection, installation, equipping, completion, testing, commissioning, insurance, ownership, operation, maintenance and transfer of each of the Project Systems.
Under a 25-year of agreement, The Amaala Company will be the off taker of the project.
The first phase of development is set for completion bymid-2024 and will consist of six hotels and roughly 1,000 hotel keys. When complete in 2027, it will offer approximately 3,000 hotel rooms in around 25 hotels as well as 200 high-end retail establishments, fine dining, wellness, and recreational facilities, set across three unique communities: Triple Bay, The Coastal Development and The Island.
