Bahrain International Circuit, “The Home of Motorsports in the Middle East,” in partnership with the Sustainable Energy Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain announced today the launch of an international public tender for the construction of a solar field at the Bahrain International Circuit. Less than 3 megawatts, installed as car park shades at Bahrain International Circuit for a period of 20 years.
The circuit indicated that this new project is expected to provide sufficient energy to fully run the Bahrain Grand Prix, and this initiative supports the Kingdom of Bahrains commitment to increasing the use of renewable energy in the Kingdom and the Formula One plan to reduce carbon emissions by 2030. This initiative will reduce carbon levels as well as provide The total cost of energy.
On his part, Fayez Ramzy Fayez, Chief Operating Officer of BIC, said: “The launch of the tender for the BIC solar project is a start to the use of solar energy and renewable energy sources, and we invite qualified companies from all over the world to submit their bids for this outstanding initiative. With the Sustainable Energy Authority, we look forward to working through the phases of this project for delivery by early next year.”
