Work Detail Riyadh - Mubasher: The Red Sea Development Company announced today, Wednesday, the signing of a contract with "Gartner" to provide advisory services regarding technical procurement for the Red Sea project. The Red Sea said in a statement, "Gartner" will contribute to the selection of its technology partners through three main specialties: smart destination development, information technology, and cybersecurity. The company will also provide ideas and advice on licenses, technology allocation, service range and prices to serve the ambitions of the Red Sea Development Company and the Red Sea Project. The company indicated that the work is progressing on the project implementation phases in the right path, and upon completion of the first phase the destination will include 16 hotels providing a total of 3000 rooms across five islands and two resorts on the mainland in addition to establishing commercial and other facilities dedicated to retail, entertainment and others. The CEO of the Red Sea Development Company, John Pagano, explained that technological innovation is included in all aspects of the companys vision for the Red Sea project, starting from providing a seamless service for guests since their arrival at the airport, to adopting smart environment monitoring around the clock, according to the highest international standards. He said, "Gartner embraces a group of specialists in the latest technological trends, and they will contribute their expertise in providing quality travel services based on the latest technologies." Gartner Consulting will provide the Red Sea Development Company with vital technology insights that will support it in achieving its goal of providing customized experiences for its destination guests before it opens in 2022, and will support smart resort management processes tracking visitor flows ensuring a seamless hospitality experience without any airport delays or congestion. Work is currently underway to develop a smart platform that covers all parts of the destination and monitors, simulates and forecasts the impacts of its operations on the environment, in line with the Red Sea Development Company’s commitment to protecting and enhancing the environment. Under the contract, Gartners network of more than 2,250 analysts and research consultants has already started providing services to the Red Sea Development Company upon request, including reviewing the destinations first package of smart procurement. On the cybersecurity front, Gartner will work with the partners of the Red Sea Development Company to continuously evaluate and improve levels of cybersecurity, while ensuring their compliance with local and international regulations. At the same time, the IT team at The Red Sea Development Company will rely on Gartner’s assessments and recommendations regarding Its future technology partners.
