The Supply Commodities Authority launched a tender on Monday to purchase an unspecified amount of wheat from international suppliers for shipment from September 1 to 10, according to Reuters.
The vice-chairman of the authority, Ahmed Youssef, said that the authority is seeking to purchase shipments of soft wheat or wheat flour.
He explained that this would be from the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Poland, Argentina, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Paraguay and Serbia.
Offers must reach the authority by 1200 hours.
The tender results will be announced on the same day.
In its previous international tender, last Tuesday, Egypt purchased 114,000 tons of Russian wheat for shipment from August 16 to 26. |
